Must've been ages ago, but I hope you got into Parsons! Saw the Parsons Challenge you did, the pie one is fascinating. I'm wondering about the discovery behind that piece though!

my friend (guy in the piece) and i would go to figure drawing nights when we were in high school and we'd have a post-drawing ritual of getting coffee really late at night and eating muffins (to sustain us through the work we neglected during figure draw). So i decided to paint him. also because he makes weird faces (which may have been the main reason!)

RE: other comment, yeah I actually didn't get into Parsons (something about a lost portfolio. don't really know what happened)....When do you find out from RISD? Hope all is well. let me know if you have any questions about the place :)

Coffee and muffins late at night sounds really great :3 yum!
The face your friend made...it makes people wonder what he could be thinking about - whether he's staring at the muffin or something else...I love the composition, light, medium, I just think it's brilliant. Can't believe that was done in high school xp :)

It must've been horrible to hear that your portfolio was lost :/ Must've been quite frustrating when you've applied and did the challenges..
I guess being accepted to RISD kind of made that even? Do you think you'd have preferred to be in Parsons or in RISD?

I will hear from RISD some time in March-early April...bleh, I think it's not very likely for me to be accepted..but still, fingers crossed :3

i think i would have gotten easily distracted being in NYC. i love the city but from afar :) and plus, the people i've met at risd or from the area...i wouldn't trade for the world!

Reasonable enough ^^ Compared to Rhode Island...
For my mom, RISD is No.1 because it's...according to her, safe and quiet. And of course because RISD is a prestigious school. D:

In addition to what I hear from mom, hearing what you think about RISD, I'm leaning more and more towards RISD xp

It's just all about waiting for a letter from RISD and shivering now, huh? :) Thanks for the good luck, I will need it ^^
